| Stefan Vidler grew up on the sunny shores of Perth, Australia, studying fashion in his hometown before setting his sights on London. With a talent for the visual arts he carved a career specialising in landscape painting and textile art. A chance meeting with Kerry Nixon marked his return to fashion with a range of intricate one-off pieces leading to their first collection for Spring/Summer 2006. | ||||||||
| Kerry Nixon was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She moved to London and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in Violin and Electronic Music in 2001. Classical Concertos and 24-speaker surround-sound installations were her staple before turning her talents to fashion. Combining her arts background with a love for everything vintage Kerry seeks to create clothing that is both cutting-edge and elegant. | ||||||||
| Vidler & Nixon's latest collection for Autumn/Winter 2007/8 remains true to their trademark Modernist style and passion for unadorned elegance. Cinched waistlines and full skirts cast dramatic silhouettes with key pieces including their full-skirted 'Marie' coat and cobalt blue silk-jersey dress. From their first collaborations on exclusive and intricate one-off pieces Vidler & Nixon established a trademark style of progressive structure and unorthodox tailoring that has continued through to their latest collection. Combine this with the design duo's shared passion for masculine elegance and dark femininity and the latest collection emerges revealing a unique and timeless edge. |
